The Bailout

God, in his story of love as a father, comes down to our level, and gives His Son, who becomes like us.

But, why? It seems His children have gotten into trouble (sin) and we need Him to bail us out. Without His intervention a death sentence will be imposed.

So, His Son’s purpose in coming is to take care of our trouble by dying in our place. His death on the cross covers the penalties against us, and we get to go free.

Easter is the celebration of that death, but it doesn’t stop there. He arose from the grave to assure us life- resurrection life.
